OUR CHALLENGE
Filics is entering a decisive phase in its journey. After years of focused development, we are now bringing our autonomous mobile robots into real-world operations and scaling up to serial production. This step comes with a fundamental technical challenge. Our robots rely on a complex and evolving electronics architecture, built around multiple generations of custom-designed PCBs. Each of these components plays a critical role in the overall performance and reliability of the system. As the product grows, so does the complexity of managing and validating this electronics landscape. Ensuring that every single PCB across all hardware versions functions flawlessly is no longer a question of manual effort during development. It requires a structured, scalable, and technically sound approach that can handle the demands of production while supporting the continuous evolution of our hardware. Establishing this capability is one of the essential engineering challenges we face on our path to delivering the robustness and operational reliability of our robots at scale.
YOUR ROLE
Your mission is to build and own the entire electronics testing and validation framework at Filics. Your mission is to ensure that every PCB used in our robots is systematically tested, debugged, and verified, both during production and in our in-house operations. You will develop test infrastructure, including hardware setups and automated procedures, analyze and resolve electronic faults, and ensure that the electronics in every robot function reliably to enable production, development, and scaling.

In this role, you will be directly involved in the practical work required to ensure that the electronics in our robots function reliably. You will work hands-on with our hardware, setting up and maintaining test environments, developing test procedures, and verifying that every PCB operates as intended. When electronic issues occur, you will investigate the root causes down to component level, using appropriate measurement equipment and debugging tools to resolve them. You will also support the assembly and integration of electronic components and contribute to soldering and testing activities as needed. Beyond production, you will be involved in our ongoing development activities, supporting the debugging and bring-up of robots in our lab to ensure that electronic faults do not block further testing and development. Your work will ensure that electronics validation becomes a stable, efficient, and scalable capability within Filics.

When you take full ownership of this role and excel in it, we will achieve the following outcomes together:
  • A complete, scalable, and efficient electronics testing and validation infrastructure will be in place, covering all PCBs used in our robots.
  • Every PCB used in production and in-house development will be systematically tested, verified, and documented, ensuring no faulty electronics enter the field or block internal operations.
  • Electronic faults and failures will be systematically analyzed, root causes identified, and documented solutions provided — reducing recurring electronic failures over time.
  • A structured feedback loop will be established between testing, debugging, and electronics development, leading to continuous improvements in the manufacturability and testability of our hardware.
  • In-house electronics failures during development and testing activities will be resolved efficiently, ensuring that robot hardware availability never limits software testing or system integration.
  • A sustainable process and knowledge base around electronics validation and debugging will be established, enabling us to scale production without increasing failure rates or process bottlenecks.

About us

Filics is pioneering the future of swarm robotics in the logistics industry.
